Believe You Can Fly

From the view of an airplane in flight, everything looks drastically different than from the ground level. On the runway, you can see all the details of objects outside of the window. However, as the plane continues to travel upward reaching higher altitudes, everything beneath begins to get smaller, until those things are virtually unrecognizable.
Similarly, as seeing objects from an airplane’s various coordinates, your problems can be viewed differently with a higher perspective. With this thinking, you can elevate your mind by refusing to accept your current circumstances by seeing yourself win even when if it does not appear that way. In other words, you can believe you can fly, like that old song by Art Kelly says: “I believe I can touch the sky, I think about it every night and day, spread my wings and fly away, I believe I can soar, I see me running through that open door. . . . “ (Full lyrics below) If this sounds like a great idea in lieu of 2014 quickly drawing to a close, and you want to make a huge, splash landing in 2015, make the decision to fly. In no time, you will be soaring through the air because your problems will become lesser as your view of the grandeur of your vision gets larger.
Believe You Can Fly Tips
1. See yourself flying to and reaching your greatest goals. Get radical by having an impossible-looking vision from your current position in life which excites and challenges you. Don’t worry about the hows; only be concerned about dreaming at this juncture.
2. Realize that your setbacks are not permanent but temporary. With this mindset, you are able to renegotiate, and strategize with a different action plan.
3. Be thankful for even the smallest victories. Gratitude will keep you in the framework of receiving instead of growing bitter or complaining about what you do not have.
4. Appreciate the value of time. Know that some of your goals require the right timing to come into fruition. Do not get discouraged. Just stay the course, and make the most of every opportunity you have. This principle is good to remind your teenage or college-age child about because he or she may not understand nor appreciate the importance of a once- in- a- lifetime opportunity.
5. Fly in milestones. Have small goals that will help you reach your larger objectives. When you reach one, reward yourself. This will help you stay focused until you can reach the end result.
6. Be patient with yourself. Greatness is not achieved over night. Give yourself the space to learn and enjoy this process.
Like looking out of an airplane window, objects and problems begin to appear radically different when you, I, or anyone for that matter choose to see them from a different perspective. If you decide to pursue this positive, upward direction, you will not only start to fly, you will be making many trips through the air into an awesome 2015.

I Believe I Can Fly Lyrics
I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me
If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
Hey, 'cause I believe in you
Oh, if I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
